The Joy of Gift Cards
Santa had a really tough year this year at our house. Both of our kids had really specific wishes for Christmas. Unfortunately, Gillian’s had to come early, so Santa was not able to deliver the ferrets to her. Hayden wanted the Photoshop Suite, which Kip and I had already planned to do. The Greatest Gifts
Truly, the greatest gifts cannot be purchased. I pray it does not take my children as long to figure this out as it did me. As we quickly approach the third week of Advent, I feel as if I have received the most valuable gifts of today.
I do not know if I could even share how I feel at this moment in a way that could really give it justice [...]

Our family weekend was full of fun, laughter, extending ourselves spiritually and physically, making new friends and building upon old friendships. It is truly amazing how much fun we pac [...]
A Day on the Railroad as a Family
“Ladies and gentlemen, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that both engines have failed, and we will be stuck here for some time. The good news is that you decided to take the train and not fly.”
This of course was not a worry for my Gillian, however running out of fuel was her big concern. Especially when t [...]
