Lights, Cocoa, Asprin!
With all of the hullaballo of the Nutcracker, we got a day behind on our advent activities so we did a little ‘catch-up’ tonight.
In addition to reading our wonderful story about Jotham’s Journey, we made fudge and drove around and saw Christmas lights. I have to say, I really think Kip and I got into it more than the kids [...]
Out with the old and in with the new ...
Even though we did enjoy our first stop today in the mountains, I think we did leave feeling like we needed something more. With out discussion we drove to an area where Kip and I had hiked years ago (before kiddos). We drove up and parked long side a stream. We hiked, explored and took many pictures in the green, lush area. It was so pea [...]
“Father – Daughter Lock-e...
It was that time of year again, for the annual Father-Daughter Lock-in at our church. It is a highly coveted day for Gillian (who attended for her 3rd year). This special time is for dads to devote to their precious daugthers. It is a time for bonding, playing games, face painting, pizza, obstacle courses, an hour or two of sleep and much [...]
Corn Nuts!
You either LOVE them or HATE them!
It is mostley divided in our home. Gillian and I love them. Hayden tells daddy he doesn’t like them but will eat them with us girls when he isn’t around.
We try hard to not eat them when daddy is around. Sometimes unavoidable though.
Do you like them? We want to know!

Happy Birthday to my dear, sweet husband!
I am so thankful for you. I am sorry that your birthday always gets a little less hoopla these days. You are so incredibly precious to us.

“What don’t you like about them Gilli?”
“I don’t like how they interrupt your words” Gillian
Amen to that!!!
Just love how she thinks about things. Love it!!!
Back in the Day
….it is easy to think that life was easier or more peaceful than it is now. In many ways it was more peaceful, but certainly not easier. Today, we took a field trip back 132 years or so in time. Back to the days of General Palmer.
The day was extremely hot, but it did not prevent our group from enjoying this trip back in time. Eve [...]
Movie
Gilli and I went to the movies with our friends J & N for a girls day out. We went to see the movie, Wall – E, the latest Pixar/Disney movie. The nice thing about going to this movie is that I had not a clue what it was about and therefore had no expectations. The story line is unique for sure, many good lessons to be taken from [...]
Can You Say Fun?
The first 6 days of July have been chalk full of FUN! It has been so long since we have had such a busy weekend that was this much fun.
July has been a crazy busy time of year for us ever since we added two little Russell’s to our family. We have three birthdays, my parents anniversary and Independence day all packed into the first tw [...]
