Farmers Market
A fun Summer tradition we have is going to the Farmers Market. We have a lot of fun walking around, looking at the fresh produce and sampling new homemade yummies. One thing we like to do is buy Anaheim chilies and roast them. They smell so yummy when they are roasting.
We went to a couple today and finally found our Anaheim Peppers… [...]
Camping ’09
Can I just say, “I LOVE COLORADO!!?”
We are so blessed to live in a state that is so lovely. There are so many wonderful areas that we could spend our whole life exploring places around here.
Why am I going on about this so much? Well, as crazy as our summer wasn’t supposed to be (but IS), it was such a blessing to head ou [...]
The Zoo – Spring Break
It was a real treat to make it back to the CM Zoo during our break. We hadn’t been in a year or so, and certainly had not seen the awesome new Colorado Wildlife Exhibit. It was amazing!!! I love our zoo. It was a wonderful day with precious friends.

Bowling – Spring Break
I really enjoyed my time with the kids during this break. I am really hoping that our summer will be just as fun. After a day at the zoo we went bowling with other friends. Wii Bowling really does seem to help! hehe! I love to watch Gillian bowl…she goes up there, throws her ball, spins around and runs back to us. She does not even [...]
Blue & Gold
What is Blue & Gold and cute as can be?
Hayden in his Cub Scout uniform! He is stinkin’ cute (as his momma, I can say that, right?)
He melts my heart. Goodness, it has been sometime since I have written an update on the precious little people in my life. Hayden has grown so much this year. He is doing well in school and it is [...]
Desperate Housecleaning
I am blessed to have the best job in the world, I am a stay-at-home-mom (sahm). As a sahm house cleaning has become one of those unfortunate hobbies. Hobby you ask? Well, in order to not go completely crazy I have to make it fun!?! I guess fun is stretching it a bit.
As a homemaker, housecleaning is serious business and I think that most [...]
Snow, Snow, Glorious Snow!
Can you tell that we are super excited about snow?
Fluffy, white, dry flakes are still coming down. Both kids are not so secretly wishing for a snow day for their first day back to school. Truth be told, I am too!! (I don’t want to start the rat race again so soon!)
After playing in the snow some today (10 degrees), we came in and wa [...]
Lights, Cocoa, Asprin!
With all of the hullaballo of the Nutcracker, we got a day behind on our advent activities so we did a little ‘catch-up’ tonight.
In addition to reading our wonderful story about Jotham’s Journey, we made fudge and drove around and saw Christmas lights. I have to say, I really think Kip and I got into it more than the kids [...]
Unexpected Treasure
This is the year that G (who does’t know yet) is going to be getting her “American Girl Doll”. Rather we found “The Vision Forum“ company that sells an AGD type doll that we decided to go with. The concept is still the same, they each have their own story and beautiful period clothing and several accessories th [...]
