All I Want For Christmas
…..is my mommy back.
Christmas is nearly a week away, goodness gracious. I had visions of being on top of everything, apparently God had a different plan. Even though my cards are not addressed and ready to go, and my shopping is barely started and we are behind on our advent reading, I do feel that I have been given the greatest Ch [...]
Dear Father
Proverbs 31:
Verse 10: Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price [is] far above rubies.
Verse 28: Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband [also], and he praiseth her.
Dear Lord,
Please watch over my mom, bless her, heal her, strengthen her. Lord, I praise you for so many blessings you ga [...]
The Getaway
Since having children, we have often sought advice from other, older married couples in our church on what their secret for a great marriage is. Many times they tell us it is important for parents to keep their marriage healthy and in order to do that we must make it a priority to get away together a couple of times a year (at least). A hea [...]
GodStops~
I have to say that I am really addicted to my Beth Moore Bible Study. We are doing her study “Believing in God”. Wow!! I love being challenged in this way and growing not only in areas that NEED growth but also in areas that we have started to grow.
There are so many things that I could journal about but this one really hit m [...]
Farmers Market
A fun Summer tradition we have is going to the Farmers Market. We have a lot of fun walking around, looking at the fresh produce and sampling new homemade yummies. One thing we like to do is buy Anaheim chilies and roast them. They smell so yummy when they are roasting.
We went to a couple today and finally found our Anaheim Peppers… [...]
Right in My Own Backyard
For the past thirteen years our backyard has been a “work-in-progress”, every so often we have dabbled in planting vegetable gardens, some successful, some not so much. We have moved our big river rock boulders several times for different projects and in the past 6 years or so we were blessed to add a play area for our kiddies. [...]
Happy Birthday Hays & Kip
I love the Russell men in my life very much. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, Godly husband and a son who just melts my heart. I pray that you felt my love but more importantly God’s love on your special days and always. I love you!
Happy Birthday Gigi
What a journey we have had so far precious daughter of mine. Six short years ago, you completed our family sweet girl. I am so thankful for you and I love you so much. You bring such bright energy into our lives and are so passionate about most things. Your smile and laugh can always bring a smile to my face and lift me up, I pray that th [...]
The First Mow
One of my favorite pass times is being outdoors with my family. Whether we are working in our yard or going on a long walk it is just so meaningful to me.
Today was no exception, however it was a real gift to this mom whose husband is sick but sacrificed (yet again) for those whom he loves. Kip even went so far as to mow the grass to pret [...]
Deer Friends
I wanted to introduce you to some ‘deer friends’ of ours.
This Spring our friends have been dropping by regularly to eat all the delicacy’s growing in our backyard. Even though our friends have been known just to hop over our six foot fence, they have it a little easier right now with a section of our fence that is down. ( [...]
