Another year has gone by since our last garage sale and block party.
It is the day that the entire sub-divison plans our multi-family garage sale and after a long hard day we end it with grilled burgers and dogs and many other goodies, the main attraction for the kids are the Inflatables. (Slide & Jumpy House)
It is the official kick-off to SUMMER FUN!
What a fun tradition for the kids in our ‘hood’ so many wonderful memories. The entire day* is spent outside with good friends, playing, hanging out and of course finding the perfect garage sale purchase.
The kids each have their own money that they can spend, and the fun thing is they are able to make their own choices, but once their money is gone, it is gone. It is fun to see what catches their eye, what is a treasure to them.
My baby still goes for stuffed animals….do you ever have enough of those?? Please tell me, yes!
My big boy loves gadgets and office supply finds. He even bought a Pocket Rocket (pray for him and me)
This year I managed to not shop and I got rid of our mattress and stroller. Woohoo!
Kip managed to sneak away to get some fly fishing in. The craziness of our life right now is really wearing him down and it was the perfect day to sneak away and do something that he loves.
The final snipet of the day. We actually almost managed to get through this without incident. No bad attitudes and no injuries. Unfortunately, we stayed just a few minutes too long. My baby was wiped out from all of the fun, her judgement was clouded and she fell off of the inflatable slide and onto the asphalt; face first!! We are fortunate that her injuries are not worse. She did get a nice, big raspberry on her cheek and a few scrapes on her nose and a little rattled, but otherwise fine. We almost did it. Maybe next year!
A few kisses and lots of cuddles and off to dream land this little one drifted.
