I took Gillian out for a Birthday Bagel this morning before I had to go to work… after she saw the presents on the table at home and BEFORE she opened them.
“I’ve had a great time this morning, Gillian.”
“Me too, Daddy.”
“Thanks for spending an hour with me even though I know you’ve been thinking about those presents at home the whole time.”
“Exxxactly! Can we go home now?”
