This is a laugh out loud moment for Kip and I, one we had to remember because, again in hindsight it is really funny!!!
A couple days ago, Gillian was downstairs looking for a stuffed animal. When after a few minutes we hear her scream! From where Kip was sitting he heard, “FIRE !!!!!!” I really couldn’t tell what she said, just that she was screaming like it was really SERIOUS! I see Kip fly out of his chair and bolt to the basement. I, not knowing what she said, panicked and followed. Apparently Kip must have thought in these situations that physics doesn’t exist and thought he could plow through walls because in his need to reach his baby girl, he injured himself by trying to plow the walls down.
Finally, he reaches his baby and she is freaking out……but there is no fire!
What….why is she screaming then? A spider was on her. Thankfully not a black widow, but a garden spider. With the huge relief we felt, we busted out laughing!!!
Funny how “Spiderrrrrrrr!” sounds like “Fireeeeeeeeeeee”
Thankful that my girl is safe. Love our nut house!!!
LOL… I can just picture Kip flying down those stairs and into a wall! what a great dad!
Brings back memories from when I was a kid and I saw a spider – I would stand on my bed and scream “DDDAAAAADDDDDDDD!!!!” until he came – and would point at the BROWN spider on my dark BROWN carpet and say “SAVE ME!”. I wouldn’t go in that part of my room for WEEKS in case a little leg was left. EWWW
We had a similar moment last week, though I completely understood Sarah screaming, “Spider! Spider! Spider! Mama! Spider! Spider! Spider” while I was trying to get Jake to sleep.
